MERN Stack Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a MERN Stack Developer with 2 to 4 years of experience to design and build scalable full stack web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js. You will own features end to end from building responsive React frontends to designing robust REST APIs and managing database architecture.

In This Role, You Will

• Build and maintain full stack web applications across the entire MERN stack in a production environment.
• Develop RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js that are secure, performant, and well documented.
• Design and manage MongoDB schemas, indexes, and queries optimised for scale.
• Build reusable, accessible React components and manage application state using Redux or Context API.
• Integrate third-party services including payment gateways, authentication providers, and cloud storage.
• Write unit and integration tests and participate actively in code reviews.
• Monitor and debug production issues and implement lasting fixes.
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to ship features that are technically sound and great to use.

You Might Thrive in This Role If You

• Have 2 to 4 years of hands-on MERN stack experience with live applications in production.
• Are fluent in JavaScript and TypeScript across both frontend and backend.
• Can own a feature completely from database design to UI without handoffs.
• Are comfortable with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments on AWS or similar.
• Work well in small teams where everyone is expected to contribute across the full stack.

Bonus If You Have

Experience with Next.js or server-side rendering patterns.
Familiarity with Docker and containerised deployments.
Knowledge of GraphQL as an alternative to REST.
Exposure to AI or LLM API integrations in web applications.
